At Paper friends, we believe every handwritten note tells a story, not just of the words written, but of the people behind them.
The photograph here is of my grandparents, a small glimpse into a time when handwritten letters were part of everyday life, carrying love, news, and connection from one place to another. When letters were treasured, kept, and reread. A reminder of an era when connection was intentional, patient, and deeply human.
Founded in the heart of the Isle of Man, Paper friends was created to honour that slower way of communicating, while gently bringing it into the present. We exist to bring people back to pen and paper through thoughtfully crafted stationery that encourages connection, reflection, and meaningful moments.
In a world of instant messages and fleeting notifications, we believe there is something powerful about taking the time to write, to choose words carefully, to hold paper in your hands, and to create something that can be kept, passed on, and remembered.
Paper Friends is about reconnecting generations, preserving stories, and making space for creativity, care, and calm. Whether it’s a letter to a loved one, a journal page filled with thoughts, or a note simply saying “I’m thinking of you,” we believe these small acts matter.
Because some connections deserve more than a screen, they deserve paper, ink, and time.

At Paper Friends, we see writing by hand as a quiet form of care.
Our stationery is designed to support reflection, creativity, and emotional wellbeing — offering a slower, more thoughtful way to communicate in a fast-paced world.
Whether used for journaling, letter writing, or creative expression, our products are made to help people pause, focus, and reconnect. We design with all ages in mind, creating tools that feel accessible, comforting, and meaningful — from first attempts at writing to lifelong habits.
Through paper, ink, and simple creative rituals, we hope to make space for moments of calm, confidence, and connection — both with ourselves and with others.
Our mission at Paper friends is to bring joy to everyday moments, big and small. We believe that a handwritten letter can make a difference. We strive to create products that are not only beautiful, but meaningful.

I started this project after realising how little space there is now for slowing down. So much of daily life, especially for those of us balancing work, family, and constant screens, move at a pace that leaves very little room for quiet creativity. I’ve always been drawn to stationery and paper goods, but often found myself unsure how to use them beyond admiring them on a shelf. I wanted to create something that made using them feel natural, useful and not just for work.
By day, I work in product management, a role that sits at the intersection of strategy, science, and execution. It involves translating complex ideas into clear plans, managing competing priorities, and ensuring that products move seamlessly from concept to our customers. The work is fast-paced and detail-driven, requiring structure, precision, and constant problem-solving across teams and timelines.
Over the years, I’ve built a broad foundation across supply chain and quality roles, gaining first-hand experience in how products are developed, manufactured, and brought to market with consistency and care. That background has shaped how I approach organisation, process, and reliability in everything I do.
In contrast to this highly structured environment, creating something with my hands offers a different kind of focus and calm. Paper Friends grew from that balance — a space where creativity and structure meet, blending thoughtful design with the same attention to detail that underpins my professional life.
I live on the Isle of Man, a small place with a strong sense of rhythm and history. I’ve always been drawn to the past — old photographs, handwritten notes, period dramas — not out of nostalgia, but because they remind me how much care once went into everyday things. That sense of intention is something I try to bring into what I make now.
Paper Friends isn’t about perfection or performance. It’s about giving people a reason to slow down, write something by hand, or create without pressure. Especially for those who feel pulled in a hundred directions, I wanted to offer something quiet, useful, and thoughtfully made — something that earns its place in everyday life.
